WHAT: 

Join Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. (DTSM) for continued Winterlit programming on Thursday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 10 from 9 - 10 a.m. for Ice Yoga Classes at the Ice at Santa Monica skating rink. Local instructor, Austin Hollingshead, will lead a full-body yoga class directly on the ice for a group of attendees to experience the beloved rink as never before. Participants can expect a morning of healing yoga, as the class will start with a focus on the core and progress to full-body movements to keep the blood flowing. Yoga mats will be provided.  

Ice yoga is proven to have many health benefits, from building muscle to improving focus and boosting the immune system. With over eight years of teaching experience, Austin Hollingshead is a seasoned yoga instructor who has worked for brands such as Equinox and Alo, in addition to special events at Coachella. 

Then, music fans are invited to "Skating a Fine Line: Harry's (Ice) House" at the ice rink on Thursday, January 12 from 7 - 10 p.m. The themed event welcomes guests of all ages and will feature a selection of family-friendly pop songs. Participants are encouraged to wear their best pop star attire and spend the evening getting groovy and skating in style. The first 200 guests to arrive at the ice rink receive a free feather boa. Ice skates will be available for rental.

Ice Yoga classes led by Instructor Austin Hollingshead are on Thursday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 9 - 10 a.m. 

"Skating a Fine Line: Harry's (Ice) House" is on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 7 - 10 p.m.

The rink remains open daily through January 16, 2023 from noon to 10 p.m.

Ice is located on the corner of Fifth Street and Arizona Avenue at 1324 Fifth St. in Downtown Santa Monica.

PRICING: 

Skate rental and all-day admission is $20.
