Three women writers create the ultimate macho screenplay, starring a sizzling hot action hero. In order to sell it, they put a male name as the screenwriter and hire a young shoe salesman to play him. What could go wrong – everything! A staged reading of a hilarious play that is timely and relevant in today's world. It deals with the issues of gender parity and inclusion in the business – but it does it with humor, action, and satirical fun. Marilyn Anderson, playwright; Susan Giosa, director/performer. Marilyn Anderson is a playwright, author and award-winning film & television writer. She is writer-producer of the 2015 family feature film, How to Beat a Bully, and her romantic comedy Cold Feet starts production in 2019. Her TV credits include Murphy Brown, FAME, Sherman Oaks, Friday the 13th – the Series, and Carol & Company, starring Carol Burnett. Marilyn is the author of the bestselling book, How to Live Like a MILLIONAIRE When You're a Million Short. Her humorous relationship book, Never Kiss a Frog: A Girl's Guide to Creatures from the Dating Swamp, is published in 10 countries. Susan Giosa is an award-winning actress, who has worked with renowned playwrights, directors, and actors, including Neil Simon, Jack O'Brien, Joanne Woodward, Will Ferrell and Shelley Long. Her theatrical credits include starring as Bella in the First National Tour of Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers and as Emilia the Maid in Tamara, LA's longest running play. Susan won three awards for creating the role of Angie in Breaking Legs by Tom Dulack at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre and later on Broadway. She has starred, guest-starred and had recurring roles in over 25 TV series and film. As Good As Gold is a free BFF Binge Fringe Festival of FREE Theatre ENCORE production.
