August 05 → Poetry Discussion and Readings hosted by Dinah Berland
Date & Time
Location
Have you ever tried to write a sonnet, a villanelle, a sestina, or haiku? If you’re curious about what goes into the crafting of formal verse or simply enjoy listening to it, please join Dinah Berland and members of her Camera Obscura Experiments in Form Workshop for a reading of their work in traditional and invented forms. The program will include a short writing experiment and an open discussion with the workshop members about their experience trying out different types of poetry. Dinah Berland is a widely published poet and book editor with a background in art. Her poems have appeared in more than two dozen journals, including The Antioch Review, The Iowa Review, New Letters, and Ploughshares, and are included in many anthologies.
