Arts & Music: Documentary Movie with Q & A: For My Wife
Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 3:00pm
Santa Monica Public Library
601 Santa Monica Blvd.
MLK Jr. Auditorium

In December 2006, a flash flood trapped voice actress Kate Fleming in her basement. As Fleming lay dying in the emergency room, her partner of nine years Charlene Strong was prevented from seeing her due to Washington state's lack of domestic partnership protections. In the years since, Strong has become an activist in the nationwide fight for marriage equality. For My Wife is a portrait of Charlene's journey and a tribute to the memory if Kate. Q&A will follow screening.
